IFSF have secured a special accommodation rate for conference attendees at the Athens Marriott Hotel – Book your group rate for IFSF 2025 Annual Conference.  If you experience any issues with the link and/or booking process, please contact admin.manager@ifsf.org.

100 rooms have been reserved at the discounted rate of 160 euros per night.  Please be aware that 25% of the daily unreserved rooms will be reduced on 30th September 2025 and so it is advisable to book as soon as you can.  The link will then be closed on 15th October 2025.  For more details about the hotel and its amenities, please visit the Athens Marriott Hotel website.

Connect at the IFSF 2025 Networking Reception and Conference Dinner

We’re excited to announce the IFSF 2025 Conference Networking Event will take place on the evening of 4th November 2025 at E&O in The Playroom Rooftop Bar at the Marriott Hotel, Athens.  This informal evening is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow attendees and enjoy a relaxed start to the conference in a vibrant and welcoming setting.

The social programme continues during the evening of 5th November 2025 with a private guided tour and dinner at The Hellenic Motor Museum, Athens. Peter is a Senior Director, Systems & Payment at Dover Fueling Solutions, overseeing the Tokheim and Wayne product lines across the EMEA region.

Holger Kunkat

EMVCo – Holger Kunkat

Holger Kunkat serves as a Member of the EMVCo EVOP Task Force, where he leads various EMVCo initiatives. His responsibilities include advancing specifications for Secure Remote Commerce, Tokenisation, and Open Loop payments for electric vehicle (EV) charging.

With more than 25 years of experience across the identity, mobile wallet, and payments industries, Kunkat has played a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital transactions.

Kees Mouws

IFSF – Kees Mouws

Kees joined IFSF as Projects Manager in 2021. Kees has almost 35 years’ experience in the fuel retail sector with ExxonMobil, having started working with Esso Netherlands in the late 1980s. Since 1993, he had been focusing on Project Management in European retail and IT and was involved in multiple infrastructure projects involving forecourt payment and loyalty.

Carl Jones

IFSF – Carl Jones

Carl joined IFSF as a consultant in the role of Programme Manager in 2021. A former ExxonMobil representative to the IFSF Board, Carl has spent his entire career in the forecourt retail industry having joined ExxonMobil in 1991 after graduating from the University of Surrey. During his time at ExxonMobil, he was actively involved in IT and Retail Technology, and served as the company’s Global Retail Projects Program Manager, among other roles.

Olivier Sanrey heads Mastercard’s Global Fleet & Freight Products team, working with issuers and technology players worldwide to deliver smarter payment and data solutions for fleets and freight operators.

Ian Brown

IFSF – Ian Brown

Ian Brown chairs IFSF’s EFT and Payments Workgroup and is responsible for managing the ongoing development of the IFSF’s payment standards, ensuring they continue to support the IFSF’s members’ needs as payments technology evolves. Ian has over 25 years’ experience of the oil industry and payments.

Andreas Blin is a seasoned leader in Europe’s e-mobility landscape, committed to advancing accessible and intelligent charging infrastructure. With over 20 years of experience in international sales, business development, and complex technical systems, he now spearheads strategic partnerships at ChargePoint. Andreas works closely with charge point operators and energy providers as a key figure in scaling sustainable mobility solutions across Europe.

Paolo Magnoni

Shell – Paolo Magnoni

Paolo is Lead Architect in Shell Mobility, driving multiple areas including Payment, Settlement, Pricing and Network. Paolo has worked in Retailing and Mobility for over 30 years, contributing to IFSF standards, especially in the EFT Workgroup since its instantiation. Paolo joined the IFSF Board in 2025

Jon Thompson

IFSF – Jon Thompson

Jon joined IFSF in summer 2023 as Strategy Manager. He has spent over 30 years working in IT, Refining and Supply functions, including roles supporting Retail Technology strategy in Europe.  Over the past 10 years, Jon worked as an enterprise architect, primarily supporting the global Sales & Marketing functions at ExxonMobil, where he specialised in pricing/revenue management.

At IFSF, Jon has been instrumental in creating forward-looking plans that help the organisation navigate the increasingly complex world that is the modern day forecourt.  Over the last two years, his work has included horizon scans, strategic roadmaps and reference architectures, all of which can be found on the IFSF website.

Alessia Vita

Bank of Italy – Alessia Vita

A graduate with honors in Economics and Management of Innovation and Technology from Bocconi University, Alessia Vita has built a versatile career as a civil servant, first in international development cooperation and then in central banking. While still a student, she began working at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, where she spent five years as an international economic consultant. Her career then switched to the Eurosystem, where she specialized in the payments sector, with a particular interest in the most innovative topics.

Since 2021, she has been dedicated full-time to the project for the introduction of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in Europe, the digital euro. She spent two years in the Digital Euro project team at the European Central Bank (ECB), during which she contributed to the study of the core features of the digital euro. In December last year, she has been appointed Deputy Head of the Regulatory, Research and Technical Support Team of the newly established Euro Digital Unit of Banca d’Italia. This team is also in charge for policy, stakeholder engagement and communications activities at national level.

Juha Sipilä

CGI – Juha Sipilä

Juha Sipilä is a Senior Consultant at CGI with over 20 years of experience in the payments industry, primarily within the energy retail sector.

Beginning his career as a developer, Juha has since held diverse roles in business analysis, consulting, and solution architecture. He currently serves as the lead architect responsible for the card authorisation system of a major fuel card issuer. In addition to his client-facing work, Juha has been an active contributor to the IFSF work groups for more than a decade. He is also the original author of the API that served as the foundation for IFSF’s Merchant Initiated Payment API standard.

Dr. Richard Davis

CEO of Inference Group – Dr. Richard Davis
Richard is a world leader in machine learning and is a regular keynote speaker at international conferences on the use of AI in industry. He has a keen understanding of the strategy required to deliver data driven and analytics first business.  He is widely recognised for leading high-impact AI initiatives and was named Implementer of the Year 2023 at the AI Summit, in addition to being featured in the DataIQ100 list of influential data leaders.  Prior to Inference Group Richard was Chief Data Officer at Ofcom where he was responsible for enabling data and AI capabilities.

Iraklis Christodoulakis

Printec Group – Iraklis Christodoulakis, Bizwire Product Manager

Iraklis has over 21 years of experience with Printec Group and has served as the Product Manager for the company’s fleet card payment solution, bizwire, for the past three years. He began his career at Mobil Oil Greece and has accumulated more than 30 years of experience in the petroleum industry, gaining deep expertise in fuel systems and infrastructure. Throughout his career, he has led the implementation of major fleet card payment projects for leading petroleum companies across Europe and Africa, leveraging IFSF payment standards. In his current role, he is responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap of the bizwire product, ensuring it aligns with the company’s strategic objectives and addresses evolving customer needs.

Cristian brings over two decades of hands-on experience delivering integrated enterprise software to the fuel and retail sectors.
